Minnesota Sandplay Therapy Group (MSTG) is sponsoring four sessions to view, discuss, and interact with the "second book" which Estelle Weinrib, a founding member of STA, intended to write. She left much of the material she planned to include in the form of videotaped material, now available on DVD's. Participants need not have viewed the DVDs in advance. They will be shown at the seminar and will be available for purchase during the seminar. Estelle's book Images of the Self will be referenced during the seminars and is available online.
BARBARA WELLER, MSW, LICSW, CST-T is a clinical social worker in private practice who has worked with children, and now works with individuals, families and couples in Duluth, Minnesota. She has used Sandplay since 1980 and is a teaching member os ISST and a founding member of STA and MSTG.
JOSEPH MEYER, MASW, LCSW, is a clinical social worker in private practice. He is a Teaching member of the International Society of Sandplay Therapists and the Sandplay Therapists of America (ISST/STA), a founding members of MSTG and has been using Sandplay since 1984.
The seminar participant will be able to describe:
- Estelle Weinrib's decision to use Sandplay Therapy in her analytic practice
- Estelle's vision of training the personality of the Sandplay therapist.
- Estelle's definition of the term "sandplay process."
- The Jungian theoretical base of Sandplay as Estelle taught it.
- The Sandplay process of three clients, a young man, a young woman, a mid-life woman.
